7-10-14 campbellsport water utility

The Campbellsport Village Board president says revenue needs to be generated to reduce a water utility deficit…and a large rate increase seems to be the only option.  Board president Patrick Twohig says the board is expected to make a decision at their August meeting.  Twohig says a 30 percent increase would cover the more than $200,000 deficit.  The village would have to apply with the state Public Service Commission for any rate increase.  “We need to go to another major rate increase,”  Twohig told WFDL news.  “Unfortunately its going to be a fair amount of money.  All of the people are going to have to share in it to some degree.”
