A Fond du Lac man accused of attempting to kill his girlfriend in Portage County has been convicted of his 5th OWI in Fond du Lac County. Following a one day trial this week a Fond du Lac jury found Jason Hyatt guilty of OWI 5th offense and operating a motor vehicle with a prohibited alcohol content. Before the trial Hyatt pleaded guilty to operating after revocation. Fond du Lac judge Peter Grimm sentenced Hyatt to two years and a half years in prison followed by three years extended supervision. Hyatt is scheduled to go on trial in Fond du lac County July 23rd in a domestic battery case. He is also charged in Portage County with attempted homicide.
