A four year old Fond du Lac girl escaped serious injury when she was struck by a car. The incident happened shortly before noon Tuesday at the intersection of South Main and 11th Streets. The child was transported to the hospital with what were described as minor injuries. Police say a car traveling eastbound on 11th Street was turning onto Main Street when the child was struck. The car driver was cited for failure to yield.
