Lt. Governor Rebecca Kleefisch and Department of Workforce Development (DWD) Secretary Reggie Newson will visit Moraine Park Technical College in Fond du Lac at 12:45 p.m.,  Wednesday, July 23, 2014, to announce the release of a grant under the Wisconsin Fast Forward; Blueprint for Prosperity initiative.  Governor Walker signed into law his “Blueprint for Prosperity” initiative in March 2014. The legislation provides more than $35 million in additional funding to expand the DWD-operated Wisconsin Fast Forward program. One focus is to provide grants for the Wisconsin Technical College System to reduce waiting lists for enrollment in programs and courses in high-demand fields.  With approximately 1,600 employees, DWD works with employers to fill jobs, provides training and employment services to workers, enforces workers’ rights, and administers Unemployment Insurance and Worker’s Compensation programs.
