7-25-14 baldwin-veterans affairs doctors

MILWAUKEE (AP) — Legislation introduced by U.S. Senator Tammy Baldwin looks to increase the number of doctors at Veterans Affairs medical centers and reduce wait times. The Wisconsin Democrat says the bill would create 2,000 residency positions over five years at VA hospitals nationwide. The measure would also require the VA to allocate the residency positions based on doctor shortages at its facilities.
