7-29-14 eaa-poberezny memorial

OSHKOSH, Wis. (AP) — Members of the Experimental Aircraft Association gathered to remember the organization’s founder in a service featuring his favorite accordion music.  EAA founder Paul Poberezny passed away last August at age 91. EAA chairman Jack Pelton says Sunday night was the first opportunity for members to recognize his legacy and celebrate his life. Poberezny’s favorite polka music was played.  Pelton says without Poberezny’s creation of the experimental amateur aircraft, aviation might not be what it is today.   Poberezny’s family and friends were among about 100 in attendance. The memorial service also included a missing man formation aerial salute to Poberezny.
