MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Republican Senate Majority Leader Scott Fitzgerald says he doesn’t know if the state Supreme Court ruling upholding the collective bargaining law known as Act 10 will lead to the Legislature expanding the law.  Fitzgerald said Thursday he doesn’t know if there will be support to expand the law to cover police and firefighters. The 2011 law effectively ended collective bargaining rights for nearly all public employees, except police and firefighters.  Democratic Assembly Minority Leader Peter Barca says he knows some Republicans will want to expand the law, but it’s hard to know what will happen.  Barca says that while the court upheld the law as constitutional, he still does not believe it was advisable or beneficial for the state.
