8-11-14 high speed chase-stolen vehicles

The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office is still searching for a suspect involved in a high speed chase involving three stolen vehicles.  The incident unfolded shortly before 10:30pm Saturday when the Sheriff’s office received a report of a reckless driver.  Sheriff’s captain Rick Olig says a deputy attempted to stop a vehicle traveling southbound on STH 175 matching the description of the suspect’s vehicle. A pursuit ensued as the vehicle continued south on STH 175.  The pursuit ended when the vehicle lost control and went into a ditch in Dodge County.  The pursuit lasted approximately 11.5 miles. This vehicle was determined to be stolen from the City of Berlin. The driver of the vehicle fled on foot and proceeded to take another vehicle from the vicinity of the crash. The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office located the second stolen vehicle in the Township of Oakfield, Fond du Lac County. The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office took a report of a third stolen Vehicle from the area in the Township of Oakfield, Fond du Lac County. This vehicle was then observed in Dodge County. The driver of the third vehicle is still at large. There were no injuries reported.  Olig says it appears the same person stole all three vehicles.  At this time the Sheriff’s Office does not have any leads as to whom may be responsible for these incidents.
