Republican state senator Glenn Grothman says he’s confident he will be the winner regardless of any recount. Grothman leads state senator Joe Leibham by 214 votes following Tuesday’s primary. Grothman says he hopes Leibham doesn’t ask for a recount. “It would be highly unusual, very unusual in today’s world to have that many votes switch on a recount,’ Grothman told AM 1170 WFDL’s Between the Lines program. Grothman says he wasn’t surprised when his lead shrunk from several thousand votes to just 200 as results were trickling in from Sheboygan County. Grothman made the comments on AM 1170’s Between the Lines program.
