8-15-14 open records-gab

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Wisconsin’s top elections official has rejected an open records request filed by two Republicans who wanted information about how much investigators have been paid to look into alleged illegal campaign activity by Governor Scott Walker’s recall campaign. Government Accountability Board director Kevin Kennedy on Tuesday rejected the request saying state law did not allow him to release confidential investigatory records. The request was filed last month by state Senator Tom Tiffany and state Representative David Craig.
