8-19-14 dodge county traffic crashes

On August 16, 2014 at 12:06 AM, the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office responded to an injury crash on Fabisch Road north of CTH W.  Investigation showed that a 24 year old female from Watertown failed to negotiate a curve and entered the ditch and rolled over twice.  The driver along with her 23 year old male passenger sustained minor injuries and refused treatment.  Driver was cited for operating after suspension.   On August 16, 2014 at 7:22 AM, the Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a person who jumped from a moving vehicle on STH 73 near CTH D.  Investigation showed that a 25 year old male from rural Randolph was having an argument with the driver of the vehicle when he jumped from the vehicle.  The subject who was intoxicated suffered non-life threatening injuries and was transported to the Columbus Hospital and then later transferred to UW Hospital in Madison.   On August 16, 2014 at 8:28 AM, the Sheriff’s Office responded to a crash on US 151 near STH 33.  A north bound semi-tractor trailer driven by a 34 year old male from Horicon stuck the rear of a north bound pickup truck pulling a farm type trailer.  The pickup truck was driven by a 58 year old male from Madison.  The collision caused the contents of the trailer (concrete posts) to spill onto the highway.  There were no injuries in the crash but both lanes of north bound US 151 were closed for approximately 5 hours.  The driver of the north bound semi was cited for inattentive driving.  The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Beaver Dam Fire, EMS and Police Departments, DCERT, Dodge County Highway Department, and the Wisconsin State Patrol.   On August 17, 2014 at 3:17 PM, the Sheriff’s Office responded to a one vehicle crash on Breezy Point Road near CTH A.  Investigation showed a 54 year old male was west bound on Breezy Point Road went off the road and overturned.  The driver sustained minor injuries and refused treatment and was cited for operating after suspension.
