8-21-14 flight for life anniversary

Waukesha, WI — August 20, 2014 — Flight For Life (FFL) Transport System is looking for former patients, crew and staff to help celebrate its thirty years of service at three events in September. In addition to former patients, their families, and FFL crew and staff, this celebration will be attended by fire, emergency medical services, hospital, law enforcement, and dispatch personnel from throughout the area to recognize this milestone in the organization’s history.

• Former patients please include the month and year of your transport, if available.
Flight For Life transported the first FFL patient in January of 1984 from Eagle River Memorial Hospital in Eagle River, Wisconsin. During its many years of service, Flight For Life’s goal has been to link critically ill and injured people to resources that provide the optimum in medical care and outcomes. According to Jim Singer, Transport System Director, “It’s hard to believe this all began thirty years ago; it often seems like yesterday to the staff and crews of Flight For Life.”
The Flight For Life Transport System is provided by the Milwaukee Regional Medical Center and headquartered in Waukesha, Wisconsin, with bases in Waukesha and Fond du Lac – Wisconsin, and McHenry – Illinois.
