A spokesperson for a group of residents opposed to another proposed championship golf course near Lake Michigan admits the group’s fight is an uphill battle. Mary Faydash is with the group Friends of the Black River Forest. Faydash says the group is opposed to a newly proposed Kohler golf course because it would destroy 247 acres of dunes, wetlands and forests near the Kohler-Andrae state park. Faydash says water is an irreplaceable resource, but says the state colludes with developers in the destruction of our natural resources. The group has set up an Online petition to encourage the DNR to deny the Kohler company use of public state land for profit.
