9-23-14 wisconsin housings sales

Home sales fell for the second straight month in August and median prices rose by modest margins. According to figures from the Wisconsin Realtors Association Wisconsin’s existing home sales dropped 5.7 percent in August compared to August 2013.  Economist David Clark says some of the weakness is related to problems with available inventories.  Clark says price appreciation may also be contributing to weaker home sales.  He says home sales in the final quarter will hinge on the overall economy and jobs.
