MARSHFIELD, Wis. (AP) — More Wisconsin residents have reported they were victims of a Green Bay Packers ticket scam through which police say a 37-year-old Marshfield man stole tens of thousands of dollars. Lt. Darren Larson of the Marshfield Police Department’s detective bureau says that football fans from outside the department’s jurisdiction are coming forward including from Fond du Lac. The Marshfield man, whose name hasn’t been released by police, previously admitted to scamming local fans seeking Packers tickets. Larson says his department is waiting to submit the matter to the district attorney’s office for review until it determines a more definite number of victims. The bureau estimated last week that there were about 20 victims who lost a total of $50,000, but Larson says the number could be higher.
