9-29-14 fdl police execute “high risk” drug search warrant

On Friday September 26, 2014 at approximately 11:03 p.m., the City of Fond du Lac Police Department served a high risk, no-knock, drug search warrant at 42 South Street in the City of Fond du Lac. Three indviduals were arrested and taken into custody on numerous felony drug related charges including Possession with Intent to Distribute Crack Cocaine and Maintaining a Residence/Dwelling for Illegal Drug Trafficking.  Indviduals arrested in the operation include a 20-year-old Fond du Lac man, a 30-year-old Fond du Lac man, and a 39-year-old Fond du Lac man. All three suspects are currently being held in the Fond du Lac County Jail.  This residence was the scene of an incident that occurred on September 9, 2014 at about 10:54 p.m. in which an unidentified indvidual fired a number of shots from a weapon during a disturbance outside the home. Fortunately no one was injured in that incident. A 21-year old Fond du Lac man who was a person of interest in the shooting incident was taken into custody on September 17, 2014 on un-related drug charges and is currently being held in the Fond du Lac County Jail on a $5,000 cash bond for charges of Manufacture/Delivery of Cocaine. No charges have been filed in relation to the September 9th, shooting incident.  Fond du Lac Police were assisted in tonight’s operation by SWAT Teams from the City of Fond du Lac Police Department, Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Department, as well as by Investigators from the Lake Winnebago Area Metropolitan Enforcement Group, City of Fond du Lac and Waupun Police Department K-9 Units and the City of Fond du Lac Fire Department.  Chief Bill Lamb stated, “Tonight’s operation should serve to reinforce our strong message to those that choose to sell illegal drugs in our Community, that their illegal activies will not be tolerated. We will locate you and we will arrest you. Our residents recognize that illegal drug dealing is not just a law enforcement issue, but takes the entire community to address illegal drug use. Our Department continues to receive in the way of tips and intelligence information from the public that has greatly assisted us with investigating and arresting drug dealers.
