BERLIN, Wis. (AP) — Authorities have released the names of two people shot dead in Berlin, Wisconsin. Police say 28-year-old Melissa Truinstra and 28-year-old Justin Daniels were murdered Saturday. Authorities were questioning a person of interest and executing several search warrants related to the case Sunday. Authorities say they got a call at about 11 p.m. Saturday about a woman lying on the sidewalk on the 200 block of Broadway Street. Officers say they arrived to find Truinstra with gunshot wounds. Police then entered an apartment and found Daniels inside. He had also been shot. Both were dead at the scene. The killings prompted a brief Amber Alert for an 8-year-old girl. She has been found safe.
