9-30-14 christie campaigns for walker in wi

HUDSON, Wis. (AP) — New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie is telling Wisconsin Republicans they need to step up to keep Scott Walker governor because national Democrats “want to make an example of him” and scare conservatives from trying bold things.  The chairman of the Republican Governors Association swooped into western Wisconsin Monday to help shore up a potential 2016 presidential rival. They downplayed that possible GOP showdown.  Walker is in a tough re-election race against Democrat Mary Burke.  In two appearances, Christie held Walker up as someone with both honesty and integrity. He contrasted that with Burke who is being criticized as a plagiarist for having language and ideas in her jobs plan also used by other Democratic candidates.
