9-30-14 domestic violence homicides

The group End Domestic Abuse Wisconsin says there were 55 domestic abuse related homicides last year.  The organization released the figures In its annual report Monday.  End Domestic Abuse  policy director Tony Gibart says there were 39 domestic violence homicide,  ten perpetrators who committed suicide,  four individuals who were perpetrating domestic violence who were killed by law enforcement, and two other individuals who committed suicide when law enforcement responded.  Gibart says the report illustrates that many of the homicides could have been prevented.   There was one domestic violence homicide in Fond du lac last year.  Eve Nance is scheduled to go on trial in the shooting death of her husband.
