10-10-14 mayville high school teen convicted in injury crash

A sentencing hearing will be held later this month for a Mayville High School teen convicted of causing a crash that sent eight people to the hospital.  Eighteen year old Sidney Lehman, pleaded guilty in Washington County Circuit Court to four misdemeanor counts of reckless driving causing bodily harm and resisting and obstructing a police officer. A felony count of second degree recklessly endangering safety was dismissed and read into the record.  Lehman will be sentenced October 30th.  The District Attorney will recommend six months jail time with Huber privileges and two years probation.  Police say Lehman was driving a pickup truck when he ran a stop sign and collided with an SUV on St. Anthony Road and County Highway WW in April of last year.  Three teen passengers in Lehman’s vehicle and four occupants in the SUV were injured in the crash.
