10-15-14 gas prices continue to plummet

Gas prices continue to plummet in Wisconsin…as demand drops in the fall.  State AAA spokesperson Nick Jarmuscz says the price for a gallon of regular unleaded has fallen more than 20 cents in the last month.  “Today we’re looking at a statewide average of about $3.22 per gallon (unleaded regular) and that’s down about eight cents from last week,”  jarmuscz told AM 1170 WFDL’s Between the Lines program.  “Over the last month its been down about 22 cents.  So is gas below $3 a gallon realistic before the end of the year?  “Its possible, there’s about six states right now that have state averages under $3 a gallon,”  Jarmuscz said.  “I talked to a gentleman earlier this week from Kenosha who said there were a few stations who were selling for under $3 a gallon.  So it is possible.”
