10-21-14 nuss seeking third term on bench

Fond du Lac County Circuit Court judge Richard Nuss has announced that he is running for another term.  Nuss will be seeking a third term as Circuit Court judge of Fond du lac County Branch 3 in the April election.  Nuss was appointed judge by Governor Scott McCallum in March of 2002 to succeed retiring judge Henry Buslee.  He was elected the following year and re-elected in 2009.  A native of Fond du lac, Nuss is a graduate of St. Mary’s Springs High School and Marquette Law School.  From 1966 to 1969 her served in the U.S. Marine Corps, achieving the rank of captain.  Prior to his judgeship Nuss served in private practice for 22 years, followed by Family Court Commissioner.  “As Circuit judge for over 12 and a half years I have been assigned some of the most difficult cases that have come through the system and presided over approximately 150 jury trials,”  Nuss said.  Nuss stated that his passion for the bench is complimented by his desire to work and dedicated work ethic.  “It has been my priviledge and honor to serve as Circuit Court judge for almost 13 years and I look forward, given the opportunity, to serve the citizens of Fond du lac County with the same dedication and commitment in the foreseeable future.”
