The Fond du lac community development director says relocating the Marian University School of Nursing and new office space at the AC Nielson building will bring hundreds of new people to the downtown. The Fond du Lac city council last night voted in favor of a resolution authorizing up to $255,000 to cover a potential funding gap for the project. Marian has an option to purchase the property at 30 South Main Street. Community Development Director Diane Benson says Marian has an option to purchase the property at 30 South Main Street and AC Nielson would continue to occupy one floor of the building. Benson says the project would bring an estimated 400 to 500 people to the downtown by 2016.
