A new student housing facility at UW Fond du Lac is another step closer to reality. The Fond du Lac city council has approved a special use permit for the building. UW Dean John Short says construction is expected to begin next spring. Short says this kind of a housing unit will cater to what students want today including autonomy and privacy. The 84 bed facility will be located on Campus Drive west of University Drive and will be open for the start of next school year.
