10-30-14 tobacco free campus summit

The American lung Association in Wisconsin is urging Wisconsin colleges to establish a 100 percent tobacco free policy on their campuses.  The AmericanLung Association and Spark, a program managed by the Association,  hosted a tobacco free summit in Madison this week .   American Lung Association program coordinator, Kati Halverson says currently there are 22 post-seconday institutions in Wisconsin with tobacco-free campus policies covering 55 sites, including Marian University and MPTC in Fond du lac. Halverson says the goal is to prevent college students from starting smoking and help those who do smoke to quit.
