Fond du Lac Fire and Rescue says the number of heroin overdose cases locally are on the rise. Firefighter-paramedic Joe Godalpske says Fond du Lac paramedics administered the heroin antidote Narcan 88 times last year, up from 79 in 2013. Twenty six patients had their conditions improve after being administered Narcan. Goldapske says suspected overdose calls were 30 percent higher in 2014 and there were two confirmed heroin overdose deaths last year…down from four the year before.
