1-26-15 fdl area united way reaches fundraising goal

Following a last minute push the Fond du Lac Area United Way has reached its 2014 fund-raising goal of $745,000.  According to a United Way press release funds from the United Way campaign are used to support crucial programs operated by non-profit agencies in the Fond du Lac community.   United Way received funding requests of nearly $800,000 for 2015. Allocations by the United Way board of directors to requesting agencies will be announced soon.  “We are extremely grateful to the many businesses and thousands of people who made it possible for the United Way to reach its goal,” Andy Winget, president of the United Way board, said in the release. Top contributors to the United Way’s 2014 fund drive include FIVES Giddings & Lewis, Brenner Tank, Mercury Marine and the Brunswick Foundation, Mike Shannon Automotive, Agnesian Healthcare, Alliant Energy, CN, Mid-States Aluminum, J.F. Ahern, National Exchange Bank and Trust, and Fox Valley Savings.
