3-20-15 nfdl school superintendent testifies at budget hearing

The North Fond du Lac School superintendent says it seems the governor and some Republican legislators treat public education as an expense rather than an investment.  Superintendent Aaron Sadoff testified this week at a public hearing before the legislature’s jt. Finance committee.  “We have seen a fundamental shift from this governor and quite a few of the people in the legislature that see public education as an expense not as an investment,”  Sadoff told AM 1170 WFDL’s Between the Lines program.  “We need to change that, we need to get back to the Wisconsin Idea, the UW system, public education…that’s not an expense its something we invest in so that our kids can grow and have the right job skills and life skills so more businesses want to come here.”
