A Fond du Lac County board supervisor is asking residents to show their support for a fallen state trooper by tying blue ribbons around a tree in their front yard or their car antenna. Marty Ryan says It’s a small gesture that can send a positive message to the law enforcement community in the wake of the fatal shooting this week of state patrol trooper Trevor Casper in Fond du Lac. “So many times we feel helpless as citizens and we all want to do something,” Ryan told WFDL news. “We want to make a statement to the family, for his mom and dad and sisters, to know that we are grieving with you.”
