Fond du Lac police are continuing their investigation into the Hometown Bank robbery this week but have not been able to link a shooting suspect with the robbery. The robbery occurred shortly before 4:30pm Tuesday, about an hour before the shooting across West Johnson Street near Pick N Save. Authorities say Steven Snyder was responsible for a bank robbery and murder In Marinette County that afternoon, and the shooting death of a state patrol deputy in Fond du Lac but investigators have not established any evidence that directly links Snyder to the Hometown Bank heist. The suspect in this incident was described by witnesses as a white male (possibly 35 to 50 years of age) approximately 5’9” tall , 175-185 pounds, with a mole or growth on his right cheek. The suspect was last seen wearing a black or charcoal colored style hoodie with dark sunglasses and a dark colored winter hat.
