WASHINGTON (AP) — Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker’s position on immigration is facing new scrutiny. The likely Republican presidential contender has consistently opposed what he calls “amnesty” for immigrants in the country illegally. But in a recent closed-door meeting with New Hampshire Republicans, he said such immigrants should be allowed to stay in the country legally. That’s according to the meeting’s organizer, New Hampshire GOP chair Jennifer Horn. She rejects a Wall Street Journal report that Walker supports a pathway to citizenship.
