5-1-15 state of the air

The American Lung Association’s State of the Air report shows Wisconsin’s air quality is improving, with several communities reporting their lowest level of pollutants in the report’s 16 year history.  American Lung Association of Wisconsin’s Donna Wininsky says five counties, Ashland, Eau Claire, LaCrosse, Taylor and Vilas counties received As for both ozone and short-term particle pollution. Fond du Lac county slipped in the latest report card…receiving only a D last year.  “But the two previous years, 2013 and 2012 and actually even before that, all the way back to 2010,  you (FDL county) were getting A’s and B’s,” Wininsky told WFDL news.  “What that tells me is that weather has been a factor.”
