The Department of Public Works would like to inform the motoring public of the closure of Morris Street between 9th Street and 12th Street. The closure will begin Thursday, May 28th at 7:00 A.M. and is expected to re-open by the end of the day Friday, May 29th. This section of Morris Street will be closed for utility repair work. The public is asked to plan an alternate route during this time as there will not be a marked detour. Additionally the City of Fond du Lac will be providing a weekly update on construction projects located within the corporate boundary. Motorists are advised to use caution and remain alert when driving though any work zone. Drivers are also encouraged to visit the City of Fond du Lac web site at http://www.fdl.wi.gov and view a map of the 2015 construction projects which may aid drivers in planning an alternate route.
