The Fond du Lac St. Mary’s Springs athletic program is being recognized for its outstanding achievement. Springs is the winner of the 2014-15 Wisconsin Sports Network Cup for the Small Schools division. Springs athletic director and boys basketball coach Kyle Krueger says the WSN Cup recognizes schools that provide and achieve success in many of the WIAA sponsored sports and totals tournament points earned in both boy’s and girl’s sports. “I think its a great accomplishment for our athletic department,” Krueger told WFDL news. “Numerous times in the last few years we’ve been in the top five, I think we finished third a couple times. But this year to win the small schools division is outstanding.” Krueger says this past year the high school cross country team made it state, football won another state title, boys basketball continues to win regional titles, girls hoops made it to state, the baseball team won conference, the golf team captured state and girls track was state runners-up.
