7-28-15 mild summer

The National Weather Service says its been a relatively mild summer in Wisconsin so far, for the second year in a row.  Meteorologist Paul Collar says on average temperatures and precipitation have been below normal with less than a week left in July.  “The heat has been absent by and large.  We’ve had some bouts of  thunderstorms and some humid days.  That’s typical for summer,”  Collar told WFDL news.  “We haven’t really launched into any prolonged heat or real active patterns.”   Collar says while August can still be an active month for severe weather the long range forecast doesn’t show any major outbreak or change in the current weather pattern.
