Commonwealth Construction Corporation of Fond du lac has named Rick Nierzwicki as the company’s new Senior Vice President of Construction. Nierzwicki will assume the duties of managing day-to-day construction operations both regionally and nationwide from Brent Schumacher who is being promoted to Executive Vice President of The Commonwealth Companies. With over 30 years of experience in all aspects of construction Nierzwicki started his career at Mortenson Construction where he attained the position of Project Manager. He went on to serve as Vice President of Operations at C.G. Schmidt, Inc. and was instrumental in the construction management and extensive concrete work for the creation of the Milwaukee Art Museum’s famous Quadracci Pavillion, which opened in 2001. He later served as president of Peter Schwabe, Inc., and Keller, Inc. “Rick brings a broad set of experiences in leadership and construction management, as well as a track-record of growth and success to Commonwealth.
