8-27-15 lakeside park executive summary

The chairman of the Fond du Lac Lakeside Park exploratory committee says he wants the city to develop a long-range master plan for the park using the committee’s recommendations.  Two months after making his initial presentation with a list of more than two dozen recommendations, committee chair John Short was before the city council again Wednesday night with an executive summary.  “We always thought about this as a long range visioning exercise,”  Short said.  “From my perspective and the committee’s perspective what we would like to see is a master plan, a master plan for Lakeside Park that would look well into the future, maybe a five year plan, a ten year plan.”   Public Works director Jordan Skiff says all of the recommendations could cost in the neighborhood of $2 million over the next decade.
