8-28-15 fdl council directs staff to hire consultant for lakeside park feasibility study

The Fond du lac city council plans to hire a consultant to develop a master plan for potential development at Lakeside Park.  Council president LeeAnn Lorrigan says the council supports spending up to $20,000 to hire a firm who would ‘develop the plan based on the more than two dozen recommendations made by the Lakeside Park Exploratory committee.  Lorrigan says the cost of Implementing some of the recommendations may end up being a deciding factor.  “These are just ideas, it does not mean we’re spending money.  I’m very conscientious of keeping our taxes down,”  Lorrigan told WFDL news.   Councilmember Brian Kolstad says he supports developing a master plan to give the council a better idea of  what may or may not work.  “I think that its an important step in all of this.  Part of that is a master plan which will take a look at all of the recommendations and map out where they might exist in the park,”  Kolstad said.
