9-2-15 fdl baseball inc. says it will keep diamonds intact for the children

Fond du Lac Baseball Inc. says it will leave the Youth Baseball Complex intact and hopes FDL Youth Baseball will use the 4th Street diamonds next summer.  Earlier this year the Fond du Lac School Board voted not to renew the District’s lease with Baseball Inc. regarding use of the diamonds.   Baseball Inc. says August 25th was the date by which Baseball Inc. was to remove all personal property from the diamonds on Morningside Drive according to the now expired lease.  A Baseball Inc. press release says the organization’s board of directors has chosen not to remove any property from the Complex diamonds such as the fencing, lighting, bleachers and scoreboards and other fixtures for future generations of children to use.   The release states although the Fond du Lac Rec Department declined multiple offers to schedule games on the 4th Street diamonds this summer, Baseball Inc. hopes they will use them in the future and will continue to reach out to the Youth Baseball league and other leagues interested in using the fields.  Schools, teams or leagues interested in using the 4th Street diamonds next year can email Baseball Inc. at fdlbaseballinc@gmail.com.   “We are honored to have had the privilege to be good stewards of this land for 30 years after turning tillable acreage into a baseball park.  We are proud to have been able to provide a beautiful, fun, safe facility for generations of children to learn about baseball, teamwork, sportsmanship, pride in victory, grace in defeat and the personal potential that lies within each individual ballplayer,”   Baseball Inc. stated in a press release.
