9-2-15 nfdl after school program

North Fond du Lac is one of four communities across Wisconsin that will, for the first time, have access to new after-school activities.  North Fond du Lac is among 22 school districts sharing $1.6 million in 21st Century Community Learning Center funds for this school year.  Superintendent Aaron Sadoff says the program will  provide tutoring and mentoring, homework help, academic enrichment, community service along with music, arts, sports and cultural activities.  “We’re just really excited.  In our school district, our community, we don’t have a Boys and Girls Club,”  Sadoff told WFDL news.  “We don’t really have any other community areas that can help and support us so having the resources to staff and to get some great programs here, that’s what we’re going to use that $75,000 for.”    North Fond du Lac is receiving $75,000 for its after school program at Friendship Learning Center.  The Waupun Area School District also receives $75,000 for their program.
