9-4-15 fdl junior football league game admission fee causes confusion

The Fond du Lac school superintendent says there seems to be some confusion over a fee that is being charged this year to watch Junior Football League games.  A number of people have complained about being asked to pay a fee by JFL volunteers to park at Fond du Lac High School when games are played at the high school football field.  Superintendent Dr. Jim Sebert says the JFL decided to charge $2 per car only for people coming to watch games on Saturday…not as a parking fee.  “Its not that they’re charging people to park in the Fond du Lac High School parking lot.  It is the equivalent of an entrance fee for coming to watch the football games,”  Sebert told WFDL news.  The volunteers are set up at both entrances to the parking lot adjacent to the field.  Sebert says if you are there for a different event you are not asked to pay a fee.    Sebert notes other JFL programs in the valley charge for admission to games.  He says the JFL is trying to raise money to pay  for increased operating expenses and the Grant Corbin Scholarship Fund.  Corbin was a JFL player who died in an ATV accident last month.
