10-13-15 agnesian healthcare places 4th in pink glove dance

The 2015 Pink Glove Dance Video results are in, and Agnesian HealthCare and the Fond du Lac Family YMCA had another record year.  This year’s entry, featuring the song “Safe and Sound” by the Capital Cities, was named the fourth place winner (top five percent) in the national Medline Pink Glove Dance video competition. The entry – submitted by Agnesian HealthCare and the Fond du Lac Family YMCA – showcased an uplifting tribute by Ellie Baldus, Agnesian Cancer Care radiation therapist.  “We are so grateful for the continued support of our communities and many organizations that not only helped to make this fitting tribute a reality, but also supported us through their many votes,” says Holly Brenner, Agnesian HealthCare vice president of Strategic Development & Marketing. “While each year we are proud to move up the ranks in the overall competition, we are most proud and impressed with the powerful message shared through our video, especially to the cancer survivors we are there to support each and every day.”  As part of the Pink Glove Dance competition, participating groups were asked to raise $2,000 for cancer charity. Agnesian HealthCare participates in Relay for Life celebrations in Waupun, Ripon, and Fond du Lac, serving pork sandwiches and donating the proceeds to the American Cancer Society. Throughout the year, with proceeds from the pork sandwich sale and flat donations, Agnesian HealthCare contributed more than $10,000 to benefit the American Cancer Society.  The Pink Glove Dance Video allows Agnesian HealthCare the unique opportunity to bring joy to the lives of survivors and community members all while achieving the overall goal of raising cancer awareness.
