MILWAUKEE (AP) — State Senator Chris Larson is challenging fellow Democrat Chris Abele as he runs for re-election as Milwaukee County executive. Larson announced his candidacy on Monday. Abele, who has held the post since 2011, says he welcomes Larson into the race. The election is April 5th. Larson is a former Milwaukee County supervisor and has been in the state Senate since 2011. He served one term as Democratic minority leader.
