The Fond du Lac County Public Health Department is encouraging residents to get their flu shots now. Public Health Officer Kim Mueller says the Health Department is holding flu clinics throughout the county at a cost of $30 a dose. Mueller says the flu vaccine will be offered until the supply is exhausted. “The flu vaccine in general is made for everybody six months and older,” Mueller told AM 1170 WFDL’s Between the Lines program. “So I would recommend to get the flu vaccine. The flu shot is made for anybody, the flu mist is specifically made for inidividuals age two to 49 that are healthy,” Mueller said. Mueller says you can’t get the flu from the vaccine.
