Fond du Lac city officials hope to issue a request for proposals to hire a consultant to help the city come up with a master plan for development options at Lakeside Park. Public Works Director Jordan Skiff says the city hopes to review proposals in late December and have the consultant begin their work in January. The city has earmarked $20,000 to hire a consultant. Skiff says the plan is to have the consultant look at nine recommendations starting with pavilion and other recommendations that are tied into that like a restaurant, food trucks, transient boat docking. Skiff says the other priority will be to explore public boat docks, a combination ice rink/ splash pad, and reviewing the picnic shelters at the park.
