A Burnett man is facing a burglary charge after he called his mother from the phone inside the apartment he allegedly burglarized. 29 year old Keaton Koch is charged with burglary of a building or dwelling in Dodge County Circuit Court. Officers were called to the 200 block of South Spring Street on Sunday for a burglary. A number of items were taken including electronics equipment and clothes. The victim said that she had received a phone call on her land line she didn’t recognize. When she called the number back, the woman on the other end identified herself as Koch’s mother. Authorities had already been in the area earlier in the day attempting to take Keaton Koch into custody for an outstanding warrant. Officers eventually located him and took him into custody for the warrant. A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for January 21st.
