Better serving military and student veterans was the focus of a program at Fond du lac’s Moraine Park Technical College this week. More than 3400 military students and student veterans are enrolled in the Wisconsin Technical College system this fall semester including more than 140 students at MPTC. State Veterans Secretary John Scocos says helping all veterans and military students with whatever unique struggles they face is of pramount importance in education. According to data published by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics Wisconsin’s 4.1 percent unemployment rate for military veterans is the 12th lowest rate in the country.
