A new low power translater will help boost the reach of a Fond du Lac rock and roll radio station. Last month WTCX (96.1 FM) launched translator station 95.1 FM. This low power FM translator’s antenna, on top of the Retlaw Hotel building, makes it possible for WTCX to be heard in many Fond du Lac area businesses and homes that the 96.1 tower in Rosendale could not reach. “I’ve been managing WTCX for 20 years and I’ve heard many people say they wish they could get the station in at work,” Terry Davis said. “Well, now they can.” WTCX is now called 95 and 96.1 The Rock. The announcer line-up includes “Free Beer and Hotwings” from 4am to 9am, Jason “Biggie” Mansmith from 9am to noon, Gregg Owens from noon to 3pm, Wheels, Red and Amanda from 3pm to 7pm and Sixx Sense with Nikkie Sixx from 7pm to midnight.
