The Waupun police chief says last week’s federal indictment of three individuals shows that methamphetamine is a problem in our area. Two men, from Juneau and Columbus and an Eau Claire woman face charges of possession and distribution of methamphetamine. Waupun police chief Dale Heeringa says some of the transactions occurred in the city of Waupun. “We are showing up methamphetamines in our community on a limited basis,” Heeringa told WFDL news. “That concerns me greatly.” Heeringa says he believes there will be additional arrests in this case in the future.
