6-13-18 walleye weekend wrap

Fond du Lac Festivals says an estimated 65,000 people attended Walleye Weekend at Lakeside Park this past weekend.  According to a press release net profits provided to participating organizations since 2012 total $1,283,777.  The event kicked off  Friday with the first Walleye Weekend parade featuring tournament boats, former co-chairs, and the UW-Madison marching band.   Major sponsors  this year were Mercury Marine, Bud Light, Pepsi and Bergstrom Imports Supercenter Hwy 41 Exit 116, with assistance from many other cash sponsors and in-kind sponsors.

  • Co-ed 6Bs volleyball — team Wenniger Auto Sales
  • Strongman women’s division — Becca Riely
  • Strongman lightweight men’s division — Jordan Haelrisch
  • Strongman heavyweight men’s division — Rob Schwartz
  • Boss of the Moss, adult — Kevin Huelsbeck
  • Bean bag toss tournament, Saturday — team The Spin Doctors, comprised of Jason Rubin and Chris Novy
